I found this interesting piece on one of my favorite blogsite and thought to share. This has become very important because more and more women are now opting for waist training as a quick way to lose weight and achieve an hour-glass figure.

So if you are thinking about getting a waist-training corset to shape up for whatever reason, then you might want to read this;

Director of Bariatric Surgery at the University of Florida Health Jacksonville, Sunil Sharma, MD explains that waist trainers don’t actually change your figure, they just re-shape it:

“All you’re doing is compressing your stomach and pushing the fat around instead of getting rid of it. It’s a very temporary thing. Would you be able to obtain fat loss after taking it off? I doubt it.”

One of the benefits of a waist trainer is that it makes you want to eat less, which can lead to a lot of weight loss in the beginning.

BUT YOU ALSO MOVE LESS

Turns out, waist trainers make you feel like eating less because they’re restricting your stomach and intestines from moving. That means that food that goes in has trouble getting out. This backlog can lead to acid reflux and constipation — both of which can cause long-term problem if they go on for too long.

  1. I agree on not using for many hours and also no to tight a more natural look accenting your curves not exagerate them, in a more personal opinion I do not worry about the organs shifting what happens during pregnancy then? but again aslong as you do not use it to tight everything has a limit

  2. The doctors say that corsets are safe and they do not move your organs around. They recommended that u don’t use after being worn for eight hours do not over exceed. Also the latex clincher does no damage only help u rid your water weight
