We’ve all seen or read about the mixed reactions in wake of Kim Kardasahian and Kanye West Vogue magazine cover.
Celebrities and non-celebrities have all been voicing their opinions positively, and negatively, they’ve all been talking. However, the best and classiest reaction in my opinion came from fashion Icon and noted supermodel, Naomi Campbell.
Appearing on Australia’s The Morning Show in a segment tagged, “The Original Supermodel,” on Tuesday, Campbell was asked flat out what her thoughts were about the controversial Vogue cover featuring the KUWTK star, Kim-K, and her fiance, Kanye West. Naomi’s facial expression pretty much said everything. Below is her response.
“I do not want to comment,” said “The Face’ judge, diplomatically to hosts Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies. The five-time US Vogue cover girl briefly hesitated and then bursted out into a fit of giggles.
“I’m a fashion model and I’ve been working for 28 years,” Campbell added. “And when you get a Vogue cover, it’s a build in your career…. a stepping stone to achieve that.”
The hosts, dissatisfied with her response, pressed for more information.
“Kim and Kanye haven’t earned the right to be on the cover of Vogue?” one host asked Campbell.
She simply responded,
“Those are your words — not mine. I’m being politically correct.”
There you have it! I guess Naomi Campbell who is known for her fearlessness and lack of filter is taken the high-road on this one. They say if you don’t have anything nice to say, then don’t say anything. We all could learn a thing or two from miss Campbell.
